Hey hey hey!

See giiiiiiiiiiiiist. Famous Nigerian pastor Adeboye has advised men not to marry a woman who cannot pray for one hour or cannot cook.  I love the Lord. I love the word of God. And I love to pray. However, to claim that a woman should be able to pray for one full hour everyday in order to be wifey material is a little harsh to me. Especially abroad. To be honest its almost impossible. Aside from some quiet time in the morning followed by some prayer points then a small family prayer at night before bed thats pretty much all I have time for.

As for cooking I really think times are changing. Not every home needs the woman to make breakfast lunch and dinner every day. A lot of people have house help. A lot of men stay at home. And its becoming very popular abroad for women to order large trays of food for the week and just dish them out daily. I personally cook a majority of our meals but that is not everyones cup of tea. Some women don’t have time to cook. Believe it or not some women cannot cook. And some women just don’t like cooking simple! So we can’t necessarily hold all marriages to that standard any longer.
