PRODUCT REVIEW : Simmons Slumber Time Gliding Bassinet – Nursery Rhyme

Hi Friends!

Today I’d like to review my bassinet the Simmons Slumber Time Gliding Bassinet.  I purchased mine from Toys R’ Us for $120.00 plus shipping and handling. So far I am very happy with the product. The only thing I really do not like about the bassinet is the assembly. It was absolutely terrible putting this product together. The instructions were terrible. After I attempted to put it together for almost an hour my husband eventually had to come and help me. I also suspect the writers of the instruction manual douse english as their first language. However, after you finally get the product put together it’s great. Here are some of the features:

  • Gliding Bassinet has soft plush fabrics and memory foam mattress pad create comfort sleep space for baby.
  • MP3 ready electronic mobile arm with spinning lamb toys, variable speed vibration, calming night light, and soothing music. Soothing side to side gliding rock motion.
  • 5 adjustable height positions, convenient swivel arm and adjustable canopy for easy in and out baby care.
  • Large 2 section storage basket.
  • Locking casters for easy mobility and added safety.

Also, the large basket at the bottom is very convenient to keep diapers, wipes, diaper cream, toys, swaddle blankets and all of the little things you might want to keep handy for late night changes.  I also like the way the mobile rotates. However, I wish the settings lasted longer than 5 minutes. You have to keep on pressing the button if you want baby to enjoy that setting longer than 5 minutes.

I will also note that if I could do the process all over again I probably would not buy a bassinet at all. This bassinet only holds children up to 15 pounds. Junior stopped using it after 2 and a half months. I would have just put the crib in the bedroom. Oh well you live and you learn =)

Here are some more photos of the bassinet:

I hope this helps in your buying choice.

xoxo
